Mr. Anil Mattoo
A Post Graduate (M.A) and a diploma holder in Cinema & Mass communication from the Xavier’s Institute of mass communications. (XIC) Mumbai. Mr. Anil Mattoo has been an active Director of motion pictures in Hindi film Industry, since last twenty-five years. He’s active in the field of Advertising and documentaries too. Having to his credit directing around 30 to 40 advertising films. He is also a Story and Screenplay writer for numerous Hindi /Regional films. And has also been hired as a screenplay consultant for number of Hindi films. From Jammu & Kashmir, Srinagar born, Anil Mattoo enrolled and passed out of Xavier institute of Communication, Mumbai.
After associating with top-notch producers and directors he started his career with directing Advertising films in Mumbai. MONSANTO, American company making weedicides and pesticides. RACOLD water heaters, India’s premier water heating company. LIJJAT GROUP India’s premier Papad, detergent, and soap company to name a few. He gradually started Directing Hindi Feature films. His films won best screenplay, best actor, best Dialogues, Best Action film in various prestigious Film awards in Mumbai. His films were appreciated, for not only having entertainment value but also in tackling relevant social issues. During this journey, he has had the privilege of working with number of National award-winning actors.
YASHWANT with Nana Patekar, Madhu. GAME with Nasiruddin Shah, DASTOOR with Sharmila Tagore, Dolly Minhas, PROKOPE with Suresh Oberoi, Anuradha Patel were appreciated at the Box Office. His Latest venture SHUKLAJI STREET BUMBAI was premiered internationally, and well appreciated. This film again is a true story and based on the plights of Farmers in rain deprived, Draught prone areas of Maharashtra. Not one to sit back Anil Mattoo has decided to start a film school;
he wanted a kind of traveling school. Where the students need not come to Mumbai to learn film making or Acting but a School, which can travel to small towns and impart Film making education to people in general and students in particular with a specially trained and professional teachers from Mumbai as his team. Hence, he’s active in opening a franchise of F.A.D.S Film and acting institute GLOBAL, in various cities of India. He’s the chairperson of this traveling school to impart training in film making and acting in India and abroad for Student’s having interest in filmmaking and its various aspects. He’s a regular visitor to universities for motivational talks and workshops to interact with students interested in Filmmaking.
